Unter einem Luftschiffballon hängen mehrere Wohnkapseln. Denkbar sind verschiedenste Bauarten: hippe Single-Appartments, das Kreativ-Großraumbüro oder eine ganze Ferienwohnungskolonie. Am Boden fest verankert mit Stahlseilen schwingen die schwebenden Räume leicht im Wind. Versorgungsleitungen für Wasser oder Strom geben zusätzliche Stabilität, Ballaststofftanks dienen am Boden als Gewichtsausgleich. Nach oben gelangt man mit einem Gegengewichtfahrstuhl.
Besonders geeignet sind die schwebenden Häuser für Schönwettergebiete, im Notfall können sie aber auch schnell auf den Boden gezogen werden.
Architektonisch und interieurtechnisch gilt lediglich eine Gewichtsbeschränkung. Die Kapseln sind in Leichtbauweise gebaut und minimalistisch ausgestattet. Ein bisschen Hausboot, ein wenig Campingwagen und ganz viel frische Luft.
Schwebende Häuser belohnen den mutigen Bewohner mit einem wundervollen Ausblick und einem entspannenden Hängemattengefühl.
A great idea for people who aren’t afraid of heights: the floating house! Living “capsules” that hang from balloons or zeppelins. All kinds of constructions are imaginable: cool bachelor (or bachelorette) pads, the creative loft/office or a vacation paradise. Anchored to the ground with steel cables, they would float airily in the breeze. Flexible water pipes and electricity wouldn’t be a problem and ballast tanks could provide the necessary balance. A type of lift using weights and pulleys could be just the way to get on up. This kind of house would be better suited for areas that enjoy great weather but it would also be possible to ground them if needed in case of an emergency.
Architecturally and from an engineering point of view, the only limits would be the weight that can be carried. The capsules could be built using light weight materials and minimally equipped. One part houseboat, one part camper and a whole lot of fresh air.
Floating houses reward the courageous with beautiful views and a relaxing hammock feeling!
